A private cloud is a cloud infrastructure environment dedicated entirely to a single business. Unlike a VPS, where several customers share the same physical host, in a private cloud the entire host (or cluster of hosts) is reserved for you — including the network, the storage and the security profile. This delivers predictable performance, genuine isolation and architectural flexibility that simply can't be achieved in a shared environment.
The model suits businesses that need to run multiple systems close to one another, meet confidentiality/regulatory requirements, or simply ensure there's no noisy neighbor affecting performance. If you're still weighing your options, take a look at our VPS page too — it's often the right starting point for growing businesses.
The benefits
The components that make the real difference between a managed environment and a shared one.
The entire host, network and storage are dedicated to your business alone — no neighbors competing for resources.
No "noisy neighbor" effects — peak-hour load won't drop because of another customer.
Architecture planned in advance: ERP, CRM, databases, internal applications and development/production environments.
Network-level segmentation, a private firewall policy, encryption in transit and at rest, and security monitoring.
Add vCPU, memory, storage and VMs as needed — without replacing infrastructure and without planned downtime.
You can add a managed backup and DRaaS layer on the same cloud — one layer, one point of responsibility, operational peace of mind.

A natural mix of real business requirements we meet with our customers in Israel.
Priority, SAP B1, Salesforce, Dynamics — a production environment with live databases.
Hashavshevet ENTERPRISE, Ramdor, Rivhit — full isolation for client files.
Case-management software, professional confidentiality, a private network between partners.
Expensive tools, large asset libraries, centralized client access.
Active Directory, File Server, Print Server, backups.
Portals, BI, payroll systems, and internal build/CI tools.
A Cloud Desktop office in the cloud, consistent access from any device.
Everything that must never go down and needs a real SLA, not a declarative one.
An isolated dev/staging environment, build pipelines, databases.
Architecture
Not a dry feature list — these are the components we design around your load requirements, with no operational surprises along the way.
A physical host or a cluster of hosts allocated exclusively to your business, including hypervisor management.
A private VLAN/VXLAN, internal address books and the option to segment by environment (prod/staging/dev).
Site-to-Site VPN to your physical office, OpenVPN/WireGuard/IPsec for remote users.
A perimeter firewall, DDoS protection, internal ACLs between segments.
Daily/weekly backups per a defined policy, expandable to DRaaS with a replica to a secondary site.
Resource monitoring, proactive alerts and monthly reports — so you know what's running and how.
Additional vCPU, memory, NVMe and VMs within hours, without replacing infrastructure.
RBAC, team access management, password policies and MFA by policy.
Natural integration with Cloud Office, Empire Vault, ESET and additional infrastructure services.

There's no single right answer. The choice depends on your load, your isolation requirements and your in-house management capacity.
| נושא | Business VPS | Private cloud |
|---|---|---|
| Host isolation | Shared with other customers | Dedicated host/cluster only |
| Peak-hour performance | Depends on neighbors' load | Predictable, no external dependency |
| Private network | Limited or external | Private VLAN, full segmentation |
| Regulatory fit | Standard | Custom — confidentiality, auditing |
| Best suited for… | A single site/app, a dev environment | Multiple business systems, critical production |
| Pricing model | A fixed package by resources | By architecture and scope |
| Setup time | Minutes | Days to weeks (depending on complexity) |
Empire IL specializes in infrastructure in Israel — we don't sell you an off-the-shelf solution built for everyone in the world. We map out your real load requirements together with you, build an architecture tailored to your systems, and stay with you after deployment too: monitoring, backup, security updates and human support in Hebrew around the clock.
Our customers include accounting firms, law firms, tech companies, marketing agencies and industrial plants — all of whom start from the same place: they want someone to take full operational responsibility for the infrastructure layer, so the in-house team can focus on the product and the application, not on putting out fires.
With a VPS you share a physical host with other customers and receive a fixed slice of resources. In a private cloud the entire environment is allocated to your business — a dedicated host/cluster, an isolated private network, your own security policy and the ability to design the architecture (proxies, firewalls, segmentation) to your specific requirements.
For businesses with mission-critical systems (ERP, CRM, large databases), offices that require full isolation for client confidentiality (accountants, lawyers, healthcare), companies that run several applications that need to talk to each other over a private network, and organizations with regulatory or audit requirements.
Yes — that's one of the key advantages of a private cloud. You can add vCPU, memory, storage and additional VMs without replacing infrastructure. In the initial design we usually leave growth headroom based on a 12-month load forecast.
Yes — this is exactly the combined offering we recommend for critical businesses. The Private Cloud provides the infrastructure layer, and Empire IL adds a managed backup service on top of it, a replica to a secondary site and DR scenarios. See our managed backup and DRaaS page for more.
Absolutely. On top of the private cloud you can build a cloud office environment (Cloud Desktop) where all employees connect remotely to the same environment — with permissions, backup and full confidentiality of the business's data. This is the standard solution chosen by our accounting firms, law firms and large professional-services offices.
Yes. A private cloud includes, by default, a private network between all the VMs, the option to set up a Site-to-Site VPN to the physical office, VPN access for remote users (OpenVPN / WireGuard / IPsec), and, where needed, a private connection between environments (cross-region peering) as well.
A basic environment with 2–3 VMs can go live within about two days of finishing the scoping. A more complex architecture (HA, multiple networks, integrations) takes between one and four weeks, depending on how many systems are migrated and how complex the migration is.
